Job summary

Indiana Manufacturing Association is seeking a Deputy Director of Member Engagement to lead onboarding, retention initiatives, and governance with subsector councils. The role focuses on building member value through proactive outreach, program delivery, and partner liaison, while ensuring clean CRM data and effective communication.

The position oversees engagement metrics, coordinates meetings, and supports volunteer leadership.

Qualifications

• Exceptional written and verbal communication with manufacturing executives and business owners.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, Member Clicks) and collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams).
• Experience in professional association management or non-profit volunteer coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new members and connect them with IMA resources, hosting onboarding sessions.
• Conduct regular needs assessments via check-ins and surveys to identify pain points and regulatory hurdles.
• Monitor engagement metrics to identify at-risk members and perform proactive outreach.
• Mobilize IMA staff to improve member engagement and retention of regular members.
• Serve as staff liaison for 3–5 subsector councils or working groups.
• Connect members to partners and seek new connections to increase value.
• Coordinate meetings, build agendas, and record concise minutes with action items.
• Onboard committee chairs and ensure alignment with the association's strategic plan.
• Collaborate on subsector-specific webinars, roundtables, and plant tours.
• Draft monthly or quarterly newsletters and industry updates for subsectors.
• Maintain clean member records in the CRM for precise segmentation.
