Riverside Community Hospital invites experienced Registered Nurses to join the IMC – Days team in our New to Specialty program. You will assess patients on admission and throughout their stay, advocate for patients and families, and tailor care plans to evolving conditions.
A strong foundation in acute care and CA RN license is required. This role emphasizes collaboration with the health care team, timely MAR transcription, and coordinated discharge planning.

We are currently hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for our New to Specialty program!As a Registered Nurse IMC, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
You will be assessing patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs, condition change, or unit/department standards
You will be serving as an advocate for patient/family/SO regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care
You will be developing, implementing, and modifying the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress
You will be demonstrating knowledge of specific disease process treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient’s needs, condition, impairment, or disability
You will be reviewing physician orders and accurately transcribes to MAR. Immediately initiates STAT orders
You will be assessing, collaborating, reporting, and coordinating the patient’s transfer or discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge or transfer to another level of care with the other members of the health care team and patient’s family/SO

The New to Specialty Program is designed for experienced RN's who are interested in transitioning into a new clinical specialty. This program is an ideal opportunity for RNs seeking to expand their career path, gain specialized expertise, and transition into a rewarding and impactful specialty role.
****Please note:** Attendance is required for all scheduled program training and educational sessions.
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Current RN License by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of California
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS
Current American Heart Association ACLS
Dysrhythmia required
National RN Certification preferred
Minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience required.
