Job summary

Meade, a Tempe-based design firm, seeks a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead our mechanical practice across mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will shape strategy, supervise engineers and designers, and ensure high-quality, compliant, and innovative solutions for data centers.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in leadership, PE license preferred, and hands-on HVAC, piping, and design tool experience (Revit, AutoCAD).

Qualifications

• 12+ years in mechanical engineering, with data centers or large-scale infra projects
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred
• 5+ years in a leadership role with teams, budgets, and strategy

Responsibilities

• Set vision and priorities for mechanical engineering across projects
• Lead engineering teams, PMs, and designers to deliver safe, reliable systems
• Review and stamp mechanical designs, calculations, specs and QA/QC for HVAC, piping, fire protection
• Establish design standards, docs, and code-compliant frameworks
• Mentor and grow a team of mechanical engineers and designers; manage performance metrics
