Job summary

Staffmark Group seeks a Director of Legal Compliance to lead the compliance function across its Legal and Contracts team. The role partners with HR, operations, sales, and leadership to translate regulatory trends, client assessments, and litigation insights into proactive initiatives, policies, and field-ready training.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in employment law, labor and employment compliance, or a related compliance function.
• Experience building or scaling a multi-brand compliance program across multiple locations.
• Strong analytical and risk-prioritization skills with ability to translate trends into actionable initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to train and influence field and operations teams and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal compliance function across all Staffmark Group brands and operating companies.
• Translate litigation trends, regulatory developments, and client assessments into concrete compliance initiatives, policies, and training.
• Monitor state- and locality-specific temporary staffing laws and ensure policies stay current.
• Develop training, communications, and practical guidance for branch staff and clients.
• Oversee compliance review for AI technologies and monitor AI-related laws.
• Standardize processes, documentation, and reporting to make compliance scalable across brands.
