Job summary

Altarum seeks a mission-driven Director of Information Technology to lead our enterprise IT strategy, strengthen operations, and serve as a senior technical partner for client-facing solutions in government contexts.

The role combines enterprise IT leadership with advisory work on secure, scalable technology for federal and state clients, emphasizing governance, risk management, and innovative delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have experience delivering or advising on technology solutions for federal or state government clients.
• Strong knowledge of information security and compliance frameworks relevant to public-sector or health-related work.
• Experience with AI/ML strategy, governance, or responsible adoption in an organizational setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise IT strategy aligned with Altarum’s mission and operational needs.
• Lead internal IT operations, including infrastructure, cloud environments, enterprise systems, and vendor management.
• Advise on architecture, security, compliance, scalability, and client-facing IT solutions for government clients.
