Job summary

Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) seeks an experienced Director of Enterprise Architecture to plan, direct, and coordinate enterprise-wide alignment of business and technology. You will enforce governance policies, manage IT initiatives, and supervise a team while reporting to senior leadership on progress and issues.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year college degree in MIS/Data Processing/Telecommunications or related field.
• Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in MIS/Data Processing/Telecommunications in a public or business organization.
• Requires three years of professional experience supervising IT professionals in a large public or private IT organization.
• Requires three years of professional experience serving as an IT Architect or leading architecture oversight.

Responsibilities

• Directs enterprise-wide business and technology alignment, governance standards, and solutions architecture.
• Oversees analysis and adoption of new standards and technologies.
• Manages performance improvement initiatives to enhance DoIT's IT services to state agencies, boards, and commissions.
• Acts as a full-line supervisor and participates in senior leadership meetings.
• Keeps senior leaders apprised of programs, problems, solutions, and governance issues.
