Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience building scalable IT infrastructure across multiple entities.
• Direct experience with spin-outs, divestitures, or acquisitions.
• Strong AI fluency and governance knowledge; risk-aware decision making.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale IT infrastructure, security, and business systems for hub-and-spoke model.
• Lead IT during spin-outs, acquisitions, and company formations.
• Identify, evaluate, and deploy AI tools to improve operations.
• Govern AI use, provide training, and ensure safe adoption.
• Provide hands-on IT support for AI discovery and drug development efforts.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, and SaaS spend with leadership.
• Design cybersecurity and data protection programs for a growing biotech company.
• Collaborate with Lab Ops and Facilities on lab tech and data systems.
• Work with People & Culture on onboarding, provisioning, and help desk.
• Coordinate with MSPs and vendors; enforce SLAs and smart build/buy decisions.
• Ensure IT compliance and data integrity, including CSV and GxP readiness when needed.
