Job summary

Osanni Bio, headquartered in San Francisco, is seeking a Principal, New Ventures to screen opportunities and lead novel program concepts from early scientific insight to proof-of-concept. Qualifications

PhD or MD in biological sciences with 8+ years in biotech/pharma innovation, or Master’s with 10+ years, or Bachelor’s with 12+ years and equivalent track record.
Proven judgment on early-stage biotech opportunities built through venture, business development, licensing, or hands-on program leadership.
Experience moving opportunities from concept to proof-of-concept with strategic commercialization considerations.
Ability to evaluate commercial, regulatory, and IP implications across programs.

Responsibilities

Screen opportunities across new therapeutic areas and modalities, assessing plausibility, competitiveness, and clinical precedent.
Define target product profiles including mechanism of action, PK/PD, regulatory and commercial considerations.
Build the non-scientific case for programs, including IP positioning and regulatory pathways to market.
