Job summary

Monster Energy in Corona, CA seeks a Director of Inventory Control to lead the enterprise inventory control practice across manufacturing facilities, co-packers, warehouses, and 3PLs, owning accuracy and financial controls.

You will set policy, drive SOX control effectiveness, and partner with Finance and Planning to improve working capital and inventory health while building scalable processes and a high-performing team across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Set the 2-3 year inventory control strategy, operating model, and governance framework across manufacturing, co-packers, warehouses, 3PLs and distribution centers.
• Own the design and operating effectiveness of inventory-related SOX key controls; lead book-to-physical reconciliation, adjustments, and month/quarter-end close with Accounting.
• Govern inventory held outside company control (co-packers, consigned stock, 3PLs, in-transit items) and define SLAs, variance tolerances and chargebacks.
• Oversee product integrity, traceability and recall readiness, including FEFO rotation, batch traceability and destruction authorization.
• Define and own KPIs for inventory accuracy, cycle-counts, shrink, variances, and close timeliness; deliver executive dashboards and root-cause analysis.
• Partner with Planning/S&OP, Finance and Manufacturing to improve days inventory outstanding, turns, SLOB and obsolescence exposure; drive disposition decisions.
• Lead system-of-record integrity for inventory in SAP S/4HANA (MM/WM/EWM) and WMS platforms, and guide deployment of barcode/RFID and process automation.
• Build and develop a multi-site inventory control organization through managers; manage budgets, hires, and training across sites.
