Job summary

Charles River Associates is seeking a Manager, Internal Communications to build a centralized function that informs, aligns, and engages employees across the firm. Reporting to the CMO with a dotted line to CHRO, you will shape the internal narrative and ensure consistent messaging that supports strategic priorities.

You will partner with Marketing, Human Capital, and senior leaders to drive transformation programs, AI and CRM initiatives, and enterprise communications.

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of internal or corporate communications experience in professional services or B2B environments.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide communication strategies and transformation programs.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with clarity and professionalism.
  • Strong stakeholder management, including experience with senior leadership.
  • Experience building or scaling communications functions or operating models.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead a firmwide internal communications strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Establish a clear firm narrative and consistent messaging across channels.
  • Own messaging timing and reinforcement of key initiatives.
  • Translate complex priorities into actionable communications.
  • Lead core internal channels: newsletters, leadership communications, campaigns, All Hands.
  • Develop and manage the internal editorial calendar.
  • Standardize formats, tone, and frameworks across channels.
  • Oversee high-quality content across internal platforms.
  • Embed communications into major firm initiatives to drive adoption.
  • Partner with practice leaders to define plans, milestones.
  • Advise leadership on approach, tone, risk.
  • Build relationships across offices to ensure relevance.
  • Establish governance and transition in-house.
  • Define KPIs and measure impact.
