Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a senior leader to head Internal Communications within its Corporate Affairs function. You will develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with the company’s mission, values and priorities, serving as a strategic advisor to the Executive Committee including the CEO, and guiding the corporate intranet to engage employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
• 12+ years of professional experience with at least 5+ years of working closely with C-suite/VP-level management.
• Experience at a publicly traded company and/or merger and acquisition communications preferred.
• Expert verbal, written, research, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong planning, execution, and metrics-driven approach.
• Proven ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services and transformative initiatives preferred.
• Ability to manage numerous communications plans with SMEs.
• Excellent writing/editing skills for complex topics.
• Ability to influence across an organization with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a forward-thinking internal communications strategy aligned with mission, values, and priorities.
• Advise the Executive Committee to ensure consistent leadership messaging across internal platforms.
• Build a dynamic leadership communications platform to support the corporate affairs team.
• Oversee internal channels to inform and engage employees.
• Direct production and evolution of Transamerica’s corporate intranet.
• Collaborate with Public Relations to align messaging for internal and external audiences.
• Craft executive communications reflecting leadership voice and organizational values.
• Ensure consistent tone across town halls, earnings releases and other forums.
• Partner with Finance and Business Development for quarterly earnings communications.
• Anticipate needs and prepare messaging aligned with priorities.
• Coordinate with Group communications for alignment with broader objectives.
