Job summary

United Way for Southeastern Michigan is seeking a Director, Business Analysis & Solutions Consulting to lead the organization’s business analysis and solution advisory work. You will partner with senior leaders to translate needs into practical technology and operational solutions.

You will coach analysts, facilitate discovery sessions, shape requirements, evaluate options, and help align investments with strategic goals across Information Services and Community Impact teams.

Qualifications

• Strong consultative skills with business leaders and translate goals into actionable solutions.
• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, prioritization, documentation, and traceability.
• Experience facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, stakeholder interviews, and decision-making discussions.
• Ability to analyze current-state processes, identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Working knowledge of solution design, SDLC, and change management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead Analysts and Solution Consultants and oversee business analysis deliverables.
• Facilitate discovery discussions, analyze needs, and develop practical recommendations.
• Bridge between Information Services and Community Impact units to align technology with business goals.
• Develop standards and best practices for business analysis and requirements management.
• Coach and develop teammates to deliver measurable business value.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure customer-focused solutions.
