Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Data & Analytics in Michigan to lead a small analytics team during a major ERP/SaaS migration. You will oversee enterprise reporting, data governance, and regulatory reporting while maintaining data quality and credibility across the organization.

The role balances hands-on analytics with leadership, developing processes and governance that scale with transformation. The successful candidate will guide reporting and analytics initiatives, partner with CIO-level

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on background in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, institutional research, or related discipline.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or comparable platforms.
• Solid BI/reporting background; Power BI experience is highly valuable.
• Understanding of data validation, reconciliation, data quality, and governance.
• Experience leading people, projects, or functions with prioritization and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small data/research team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Establish sustainable operating processes for analytics, reporting, research, and compliance.
• Build and maintain a structured compliance and recurring-reporting calendar.
• Ensure institutional reporting is accurate, complete, reconciled, and on-time.
• Provide leadership around data quality, governance, definitions, ownership, and stewardship.
• Translate technical information for leaders and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Oversee dashboards, recurring reporting, ad hoc analysis, and executive decision support.
• Partner with technology leadership during ERP/SaaS modernization.
• Improve integrations and data accessibility as systems move to the cloud.
