Steuben Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Bath, NY is hiring a Director of Human Resources/Payroll to lead payroll, benefits liaison, and HR operations within a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in an HR or staffing setting.
• Knowledge of human resource administration.
• Inter-personal, organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
• Must have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and complete schedules for nursing department.
• Coordinate payroll timecards and act as payroll liaison between Payroll Dept and facility.
• Coordinate employee benefits and liaise with Benefits Administrator.
• Supervise the front desk staff in all aspects.
• Ensure compliance for DOL and DOH for new hires including background checks and license verification.
• Manage recruitment needs by determining open positions, screening and interviewing applicants.
• Participate in facility management meetings as required.
• Handle HR duties including disciplinary actions, payroll status changes, terminations, resignations, retirements.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.
