Job summary

My Green Lunch is seeking a Director of HR & Operations to lead HR and daily office operations in California. You will recruit, onboard, manage employee records and benefits, ensure labor-law compliance, and coordinate with TriNet for HR/ payroll.

You’ll also oversee administrative staff and routine vendor coordination to keep the office productive. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and people-focused, with 6+ years in HR/operations and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in HR, office management, or related administrative role; food service or hospitality is a plus.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and payroll processes.
• Hands-on experience with TriNet (or comparable HRIS) including benefits administration and payroll.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR functions and daily office operations.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage employee records and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws; update policies as needed.
• Oversee payroll processing and TriNet coordination for benefits.
