Job summary

The SEED Public Charter School of Washington DC is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions and help shape a positive, inclusive workplace across our campus network. You will develop and implement HR strategies, manage talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, benefits, compliance, and employee relations in alignment with the organization's goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Certification required (PHR/SPHR or SHRM).
• Strong knowledge of employment laws (federal/state/local).
• Experience leading HR teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategies, policies, and compliance across the organization.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Manage performance management, employee development, and retention.
• Administer benefits, compensation, and regulatory reporting.
• Drive DEI initiatives and HRIS/payroll system implementations.
• Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
