Job summary

Gilbane Development Company is seeking a seasoned Director, Development - Higher Education Partnerships to lead and expand our HE-P3 subvertical across the U.S. This role emphasizes early-stage opportunity development, client relationship building, and complex P3 transaction structuring.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years in P3/infrastructure finance, strong leadership, and broad travel ability (30–50%). Remote or U.S. office-based, with salary $132,500–$201,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in P3, infrastructure development, finance, or related field with a proven delivery track record.

Responsibilities

• Opportunity formation and strategy development for early-stage opportunities and pre-sale strategies.
• Manage pre-sale identification, assessment, and development of P3 projects including design feasibility and procurement strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with Higher Education clients and administrators; develop project champions.
• Establish early benchmarking and modeling of project feasibility using Gilbane templates and tools.
• Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies leveraging the Gilbane brand and capabilities.
