University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the Disability Evaluation Services. The role drives strategic planning, program delivery, and financial stewardship, supervising cross-functional teams to meet contract milestones and KPI targets.

You will shape policies, optimize resources, and coordinate HR, IT, and finance activities while maintaining compliance and high-quality service delivery across external partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master’s level degree in business, health or science administration or related field.
• 7–9 years of health care administration experience with at least 3 years in management.
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with operational best practices.
• Proven ability to manage within budget delivering break-even or profitable outcomes.
• Experience with IT, personnel and finance systems.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and leadership ability.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic planning, financial planning, service delivery, and integration for assigned units.
• Oversee program operations, staffing, and contractual compliance to meet KPIs.
• Develop and manage internal procedures, productivity reporting, and cost control.
• Collaborate with Finance to review statements and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Lead HR recruitment/retention strategies and onboarding processes.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and external partnerships.
• Ensure data security, HIPAA compliance, and information governance.
• Present updates to executive leadership and maintain program reporting tools.
