BoardSource is seeking a Director of Content & Governance Education to lead the development of governance content, curricula, and thought leadership. You will shape practical tools and resources, and present content in live and virtual formats, collaborating closely with senior leadership and learning teams.

This role emphasizes community-centered approaches, cross-functional collaboration, and accountability to the communities served.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional work experience in the nonprofit sector.
• A strong commitment to BoardSource’s purpose and community-centered governance.
• Deep expertise in nonprofit board governance, including traditional and innovative approaches.
• Exceptional writing, communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
• Experience designing curricula and delivering content across formats.
• Proven ability to translate research and practitioner insights into practical resources.
• Strong understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity in governance.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and alignment of programs with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize the co-creation and expertise elements of BoardSource’s Theory of Practice.
• Create governance content, curricula for trainings, and learning journeys.
• Present content in live and virtual formats; refine and amplify resources.
• Develop and update resources to advance BoardSource’s work and guidance.
• Collaborate with CPSO and Learning & Research to align priorities and evaluation insights.
• Manage budgets, timelines, contributors, and workplans for content initiatives.
• Partner with other teams to ensure content aligns with organizational goals.
