The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Governance Research & Content Development to lead high‑impact governance research and advocacy content for boards, audit committees, regulators, policymakers, and executives. This hybrid role is based in Washington, DC.

You will develop authoritative reports, policy analyses, issue briefs, surveys, and presentations, translating complex governance topics into clear, credible content for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Auditing, Business, Public Policy, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in internal audit, governance, policy, or thought leadership.
• Proven research, analysis, and high-quality content development experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and executive communications abilities.
• Ability to translate complex concepts for executive and nontechnical audiences.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Governance Engagement research and content plan.
• Design, execute, analyze, and promote original governance research.
• Identify emerging governance trends and research opportunities.
• Translate complex information into practical findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on research initiatives.
• Engage boards, committees, and stakeholders to inform priorities.
• Develop authoritative reports, briefs, policy analyses, surveys, and presentations.
• Transform complex topics into clear content for executive audiences.
• Create content for boards, regulators, policymakers, and governance leaders.
• Use AI-enabled tools to enhance research while maintaining quality.
