Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Transportation Director in Memphis, TN to lead end-to-end transportation strategy and execution across domestic and international operations.

You will optimize LTL, FTL, Intermodal, Parcel, Ocean, and Air freight, while driving service, cost efficiency, and network resiliency. You will partner with Distribution Operations, Supply Planning, and Finance to shape procurement, analytics, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering (or related field) is required or preferred.
• Experience leading multi-modal transportation networks is required or preferred.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee enterprise transportation strategy across domestic and international operations.
• Optimize networks across LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, Parcel, Ocean, and Air.
• Lead transportation procurement, carrier sourcing, contract negotiations, and bid events.
• Develop long-term network strategies to improve service, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust network strategies; include capacity planning, routing optimization, and performance management.
• Own the enterprise parcel strategy, including multi-carrier and last-mile providers, and negotiate carrier agreements.
• Drive parcel optimization initiatives and monitor related KPIs such as cost per package and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Distribution Centers, Customs, Finance, IT) to ensure efficient inbound/outbound transport.
