Job summary

Exodigo seeks a Director of Geotechnical Engineering to lead U.S. geotechnical standards, quality, and technical credibility. This senior role combines engineering leadership with customer engagement, translating engineering needs into product requirements and ensuring defensible deliverables.

The role requires 10–15 years in geotechnical engineering for civil infrastructure, a P.E. license, and the ability to travel domestically (25–40%).

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization; M.S. strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience in U.S. civil infrastructure and/or construction.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one U.S. state, with the ability to obtain additional licensure as needed.
• Deep working knowledge of DOT (AASHTO, FHWA, state DOT) and ASCE standards; familiar with ASTM and USACE.
• Strong client-facing experience: scoping, presenting, negotiating with owners, DOTs, and contractors.
• Experience leading delivery organizations with field operators, QA, and CAD/BIM/infrastructure engineers.
• Hands-on experience running agile/structured delivery using tools such as Monday, Jira, Slack, and Gantt-based planning.
• Advanced drafting of documents, proposals, and strategic plans with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build industry trust with infrastructure owners, DOTs, contractors, and engineering consultants.
• Lead technical discussions, presentations, and proposals, addressing engineering challenges and real-world applications.
• Translate customer requirements and industry standards into engineering specifications, acceptance criteria, QA processes and delivery practices.
• Provide engineering oversight and act as the responsible engineering sign-off authority.
• Connect engineering and product by aligning customer needs with product capabilities.
• Collaborate with US Project Management, Operations, and CAD/BIM teams to standardize nationwide workflows.
