Job summary

Exodigo, a leader in underground mapping, seeks a Director of Geotechnical Engineering in the United States who will lead geotechnical standards, quality, and credibility. This senior role blends engineering leadership with customer engagement to help infrastructure owners, contractors, and consultants understand Exodigo’s subsurface intelligence technology.

The candidate will drive technical strategy, work with Sales as a technical advisor, and translate customer needs into product requirements

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization; MS strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive geotechnical experience in U.S. civil infra and/or construction.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience authoring engineering requirement documents and translating market needs into user stories.
• Deep knowledge of DOT/ASCE standards; familiarity with ASTM/USACE geotechnical practice.
• Ability to read and analyze geological, geotechnical, and civil reports.
• Extensive client-facing experience with owners, DOTs, and contractors.
• Experience leading delivery organizations including field operators, QA, CAD/BIM.
• Hands-on with agile/structured delivery using Monday, Jira, Slack, and Gantt planning.
• Proficient drafting proposals and strategic plans with attention to detail.
• Collaboration with business on strategy, pricing, and marketing in technical B2B.
• U.S. work authorization; willingness to travel domestically (25–40%).

Responsibilities

• Build industry trust with infrastructure owners, DOTs, contractors, and engineering consultants.
• Lead technical discussions, presentations, and proposals, addressing engineering challenges.
• Translate customer requirements and industry standards into engineering specifications, acceptance criteria, QA processes, and delivery practices.
• Review geotechnical deliverables and provide responsible engineering sign-off.
• Partner with Product and R&D to align customer needs with product capabilities.
• Work with U.S. Project Management, Operations, and CAD/BIM teams to standardize workflows nationwide.
