Qualifications

• Significant freight brokerage / 3PL leadership experience.
• Proven record of growing brokerage revenue and profitability.
• Experience leading and scaling brokerage operations, sales and carrier teams.
• Strong understanding of pricing, margin management, carrier procurement and the full freight lifecycle.
• Demonstrated success building processes and teams in a growth environment.
• Strong financial and business acumen—you understand the P&L, not just the load board.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategy to aggressively grow brokerage revenue and gross profit.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and win new business.
• Drive sustainable margin improvement through pricing strategy, carrier development and disciplined execution.
• Own key brokerage KPIs including revenue, gross profit, margin %, load volume, revenue per employee and customer retention.
• Partner with executive leadership and Finance on forecasting, budgeting and overall brokerage performance.
• Lead, coach and develop our brokerage operations, sales and support teams.
• Evaluate organizational structure and build the team needed for the next stage of growth.
• Recruit and develop strong brokerage talent as the division expands.
• Establish clear expectations, goals and accountability throughout the department.
• Develop future leaders and create a self-sustaining organization.
• Create a culture where people move quickly, communicate directly and take ownership of results.
