Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Director, Installation to lead the Modifications & Upgrades installation function across North America. You will direct a dispersed team of Installation Managers and field staff to deliver equipment upgrades, expansions, controls modernization, retrofits, and complete system replacements safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience leading installation teams in automation, material handling, or warehouse projects.
• Strong leadership and budget management.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of installation activities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Lead safety performance and near-miss reporting across sites.
• Manage labor forecasting, subcontractor utilization, and cost control.
• Partner with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Service teams to deliver outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardized processes across installations.
• Support sales and estimating during project development and reviews.
