Job summary

Dematic seeks an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the Modifications and Upgrades Engineering function in the United States. The role oversees ~100 engineers across mechanical and controls, responsible for a multi-hundred-million-dollar portfolio and ~250 active projects.

You will drive safety, customer satisfaction, and financial performance while coordinating across Suppliers, vendors, and sites.

Qualifications

10+ years leading Project Engineering teams in automation/logistics/manufacturing
Experience managing large multi-project portfolios with significant revenue responsibility
Proven knowledge of automation systems, controls architectures, and systems integration

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing Mechanical and Electrical/Controls engineering team
Oversee a large portfolio of concurrent mechatronic projects
Ensure smooth transition from Sales to Operations and lead project kickoff processes
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans including testing and launch
Escalate complex issues and coordinate across software, controls, electrical, mechanical and vendors
Own financial performance including forecasting, revenue recognition and profitability analysis
Identify new business opportunities with sales and lifecycle teams
Represent engineering in long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives
