Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC in Washington, DC is seeking a Director of Client Growth and Strategy, Federal Civilian, to drive growth across strategic federal accounts, including HHS, IRS, NOAA, and other civilian agencies. This hands-on role combines account strategy, capture leadership, and client engagement to turn opportunities into booked business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 8+ years of relevant professional experience; experience in Federal Civilian markets preferred.
• Experience supporting growth within Federal Civilian agencies (HHS, IRS, NOAA, etc.).
• Experience across the federal growth and capture lifecycle: account planning, qualification, capture, proposal, and award.
• Demonstrated ability to build pipelines, convert opportunities to bookings, and coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop growth strategies across priority Federal Civilian accounts (HHS, IRS, NOAA) and adjacent agencies.
• Develop deep knowledge of accounts: missions, stakeholders, budgets, and competitive landscapes.
• Maintain momentum in pursuit lifecycles from identification to award.
• Shape opportunities with customer engagement and competitive intelligence.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary pursuit teams including solution architects, pricing, contracts, and executives.
• Lead and participate in gate reviews and capture planning.
