Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking a maintenance supervisor to oversee a maintenance team across the community. The role includes supervising trades, planning work, and ensuring ultra-high levels of safety and compliance.

You will coordinate with outside vendors, manage budgets, and develop preventive maintenance plans for apartments and common areas. Responsibilities include inspections, responding to resident requests, and supporting emergency preparedness, drills, and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a maintenance team and coordinating work orders.
• Ability to plan, interview, hire and train staff effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Maintenance team at the assigned community; may oversee other teams.
• Schedule, assign and direct work; review performance and discipline as needed.
• Inspect buildings and equipment; coordinate third parties for pest control and fire safety.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for apartments and common areas.
• Solicit bids, evaluate contractors, and obtain approvals from Executive Director.
• Maintain inventory, track expenses, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Participate in Safety and Infection Control programs and support emergency drills.
• Transport residents when required and attend mandatory meetings.
