Job summary

City of Lincoln seeks a qualified Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, data-driven planning, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will manage shift activities, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with planners while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. A strong background in electrical/mechanical systems and PLCs is essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in management and maintenance; supervisory experience required.
• Assoc. degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate shift maintenance activities in uptime, safety, PM work orders and corrective maintenance.
• Lead maintenance staff and develop technicians through performance management.
• Reduce equipment downtime to improve productivity and skills of the team.
• Support planning, scheduling and improvements to optimize spending, downtime, safety and quality.
• Manage spare parts: control and inventory.
• Develop and manage preventative/predictive maintenance plans.
• Ensure compliance with Indiana's Pressure Vessel inspection program.
• Assist with machine modification and plant layout changes.
• Conduct timely performance evaluations for technicians.
• Handle discipline per company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
