Send Cut Send Inc. is seeking a hands-on technical leader to direct a critical part of the business as we grow.

You will bridge shop-floor excellence with production-grade software, reporting to the VP of Product, Growth and Engineering, and collaborating with product, operations, and manufacturing teams across the U.S. The role emphasizes scaling engineering, establishing robust processes, and delivering high-quality software that supports customers, teams, and growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering, with 10+ years in engineering leadership.
• Direct experience running an engineering organization through significant growth periods.
• Proven track record of hiring, developing and mentoring engineering managers.
• Domain expertise in manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce or other physical-world businesses.
• Strong technical foundation with quick decision-making even with incomplete information.
• Ability to establish process and structure without hindering execution speed.

Responsibilities

• Scale the engineering organization from ~16 engineers to a much larger team, recruiting and retaining engineers in Reno (HQ) and remote locations.
• Develop the leadership and operating layer to enable larger scale: code reviews, planning cadence, on-call, performance reviews, leveling.
• Collaborate with CEO and leadership teams to deliver high-priority software for the business.
• Own feature delivery predictability with clear commitments, progress visibility, and escalation when at risk.
• Partner with senior engineers on architecture and technical direction for multi-team support.
• Make frequent trips to Reno NV HQ to work on the floor and ship parts in production.
