Job summary

Atria Health Institute in New York is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead Foundations—the Platform, DevOps, and Data Engineering teams. You will own the technical strategy and roadmap for these groups and be accountable for reliability, security, and delivery across systems used by members and clinicians.

You will directly manage a 12-member Foundations team, including 3 Tech Leads, and collaborate with Product, Data & Analytics, Security, and executive stakeholders to drive scalable

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering, with significant leadership experience.
• Proven record leading multiple teams across platform, infra, or data domains.
• Strong systems-design background in backend infra, data, security, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on familiarity with our stack: TypeScript/Node.js, Google Cloud Platform and Terraform, and enterprise data warehousing and pipelines (Snowflake, dbt).
• Experience cultivating a culture of feedback and talent development.
• Ability to make decisions with incomplete information in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Own health, direction, and output of the Foundations group (Platform, DevOps, and Data Engineering).
• Maintain end-to-end accountability for multi-team Foundations initiatives from concept through deployment.
• Own the reliability, security, and operational health of platform, data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Data & Analytics, Security, and executive stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering workflows and guardrails to accelerate delivery safely.
• Mentor engineers and Tech Leads to raise the bar and improve throughput.
