Job summary

AVA Energy in the United States is seeking a Director of Engineering to own the microgrid engineering strategy and lead a high-performing team delivering cutting-edge projects across the US. This is a senior leadership role with full technical ownership from concept through commissioning.

You will supervise design and delivery of microgrid solutions, including BESS, generation, and controls integration, while acting as the technical authority for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with aeroderivative gas turbines (GE LM2500/LM6000).
• Strong background in BESS and microgrid solutions.
• Power plant construction experience.
• Leadership experience in distributed energy or power systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing an engineering team across microgrid design and delivery.
• Owning the technical strategy for microgrid solutions including BESS, generation, and controls integration.
• Serving as the technical authority for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Driving complex distributed energy projects end-to-end.
