Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to anchor the Energy Team's delivery of projects across urban energy initiatives, including microgrids and EVSE infrastructure. The role can be based in Boston, Chicago, New York, New Jersey or Washington DC offices.

You will lead design packages from conceptualization to construction documents for up to 1000V, perform interconnection studies, energy modeling, and provide construction support, with a focus on utility and behind-the-meter applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering.
PE license or eligible to obtain PE license.
Experience leading electrical design for energy projects.
Experience with reliability and economic evaluation of energy systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of design packages from conceptualization to construction documents for multidisciplinary energy projects up to 1000V.
Lead the preparation of interconnection permits and load letters.
Deliver feasibility studies and red flag reports.
Produce energy modeling to quantify energy needs and right-size equipment.
Provide construction support and client communication.
Present work product to client and capture feedback.
Develop technical proposals for prospective work.
