Job summary

Scale is a leader in turnkey microgrids and distributed energy. We seek a Director-level power systems leader to guide a team delivering off‑grid and grid‑tied projects for data centers, with expertise in solar, storage, switchgear, and engines. You will shape technical strategy and ensure high‑quality designs.

Reporting to the CTO, this role can be remote with preference for NY, NJ, or CA. Requires 10+ years in power systems and 3+ years leading teams; BS in EE and PE preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power systems with leadership of technical teams.
• Experience with solar, battery storage, switchgear and engines.
• Understanding of US interconnection process and power markets.
• BS in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to scale microgrid projects and mentor team members.
• Define long-term technical vision and roadmaps for microgrid design and core technologies.
• Review electrical designs and protection settings; oversee power systems analysis.
