Job summary

Flex is seeking a Director, Engineering located in Georgetown, TX to lead multiple manufacturing engineering orgs and drive strategic architecture for thermal management and advanced test solutions supporting hyperscale cloud infrastructure.

Reporting to VP Operations, this role requires 8+ years of engineering management, expertise in NPI, liquid cooling, design for manufacturability, and executive-level collaboration with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• At least eight years of engineering management experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive experience leading manufacturing engineering functions: structural test, process engineering, automation, NPI.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, R&D, product development, DFM, industrialization, and scale-up.
• Experience deploying liquid cooling thermal management for high-density computing.
• Experience supporting hyperscale cloud infrastructure, data center hardware, or AI compute platforms.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred; proven program and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multiple manufacturing engineering orgs across defined domains.
• Define and execute engineering strategy, roadmap, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide technical direction for system architecture, R&D, product industrialization.
• Lead development and deployment of advanced thermal management infrastructure.
• Oversee development of test strategies, automated systems, processes, equipment specs.
• Partner with Ops, Quality, Product Development, Supply Chain, PMs and customers to meet cost, quality, schedule.
• Manage budgets and resources, drive continuous improvement and executive engagement.
