Job summary

WIN Reality, LLC is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering organization and own the product roadmap across hardware and software surfaces including Smart Park camera systems, Blast Motion sensors, TrainVR, and web/mobile/backend platforms.

The role is hands-on leadership, requiring building modern products at high-growth tech companies, shipping on time with quality, and driving a culture of accountability and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years leading engineering teams or managers.
• Track record shipping hardware–software products (devices, cameras or sensors).
• Hands-on depth in two of: computer vision, AI/ML, embedded/IoT, cloud backend, web, or mobile.
• Experience building both B2B and consumer products.
• Experience at modern, cloud-native tech companies using current engineering practices.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Austin or Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

• Lead seven direct reports across engineering disciplines including CV, AI, embedded, backend, frontend, mobile, and Live Ops.
• Own execution of the product roadmap in partnership with Product and Design leadership.
• Define and enforce quality across devices and software, including testing, release management, and observability.
• Hire and retain top engineering talent and establish a culture of accountability and craft.
• Partner with hardware leadership and Operations on firmware and deployment.
