Job summary

StrideCare in Addison, TX seeks a Director of EHR to own and optimize the athenahealth platform across clinics, ensuring stability, security, and scalable onboarding of new practices. This hands-on leadership role oversees system administration, integrations, and EHR training within a fast-paced MSO environment.

You will lead a team of analysts and trainers, drive governance, and collaborate with clinical and IT leadership to improve adoption, documentation quality, and provider satisfaction

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering ambulatory EHR/practice management systems.
• Experience with system integrations (HL7, APIs, FHIR).
• Understanding of clinic workflows and revenue cycle processes.
• Proven vendor, project, and cross-functional team management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive adoption and lead change with empathy and clarity.
• Direct experience with athenahealth preferred.
• Familiarity with value-based care and MIPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own athenahealth and related modules; manage performance and security.
• Maintain system configuration, access, and release management.
• Oversee athenahealth vendor relationships and contracts.
• Develop governance for changes and prioritization.
• Lead EHR strategy and migrations for acquired practices.
• Design templates and workflows for specialties like vascular surgery and podiatry.
• Manage legacy systems and data migration/decommissioning.
• Coordinate integrations with third-party systems and BI/ERP tools.
• Provide EHR training curriculum and monitor user adoption.
• Ensure HIPAA, CMS, ONC, MIPS/MACRA compliance; audit readiness.
• Report KPIs to executive leadership.
