Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Texas seeks a General Manager/Operating Partner to oversee all drive-in operations and guide a team toward exceptional guest service. This exempt, high-responsibility role demands strong leadership and hands-on management.

You will recruit, hire, train, and coach staff, control costs, forecast labor and inventory, maintain safety and sanitation, supervise vendors, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and local laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, coach, and lead the drive-in's staff.
• Manage staff compensation levels per company guidelines.
• Oversee all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle opening and closing duties.
• Escalate guest and employee issues appropriately.
• Forecast and manage food, labor, inventory to optimize costs and quality.
• Lead team meetings to reinforce standards and guest service.
• Maintain drive-in records and prepare operational reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance.
