Job summary

Skydio, Inc. is seeking a Director of Launch Team to own customer readiness from opportunity qualification through live dock program deployment. The role requires leading a leadership team, coordinating across four readiness domains, and ensuring on-time launches with scalable capacity.

Travel ~30% and a remote work setup enable engagement with customers, sites, and executives. The position reports to the VP of Solutions Engineering and demands 8+ years in customer-facing operations, plus 2+

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing operations, deployment, implementation, or project delivery in a public safety or regulated environment.
• 2+ years leading leaders, managing managers or a multi-layer team.
• Experience guiding customers or agencies through a public approval process and policy engagement.
• Experience building organizations through fast growth and creating repeatable processes in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the leaders by recruiting, hiring, and developing Senior Managers and creating a growth path.
• Own time-to-launch and readiness gate adherence across the dock portfolio and capacity model.
• Represent the customer inside Skydio and escalate cross-team conflicts affecting launch timelines.
• Develop and maintain the readiness playbook and ensure clean post-launch handoff to Customer Success.
