Job summary

New York City Comptroller’s Office is seeking a Director of DevOps to lead a team of DevOps Engineers and Systems Administrators, ensuring high uptime and optimized applications. You will drive enterprise IT standards and oversee infrastructure upgrades, security updates, and MS 365 administration.

The role involves strategic intake for IT projects, hands-on provisioning, and collaboration with product managers to align on timelines and architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in computer science with 3+ years IT management experience, or a 4-year degree with 4+ years in IT leadership.
• At least 18 months in an administrative or supervisory role.
• A four-year diploma with 6+ years of related IT experience is acceptable.
• Combination of education and experience acceptable with minimums as described.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps team on infrastructure, systems administration, and product deployment.
• Oversee enterprise IT standards and ensure policy adherence across the agency.
• Manage security updates, licenses, and Office 365 administration.
• Coordinate with internal project managers and external partners on IT initiatives.
• Provide Tier 2 support and monitor production/non-production environments.
• Drive technology portfolio management and procurement discussions.
