Job summary

Montreat Conference Center seeks a Director of Development Operations to lead the donor database, reporting, and fundraising operations. This role ensures data integrity, compliant gift processing, and timely financial stewardship.

The position oversees board and donor events, manages office operations, and partners with the VP of Development to advance fundraising goals while maintaining cross-department collaboration and efficient administrative systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• 5+ years of nonprofit operations experience.
• Demonstrated expertise with Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Strong analytical skills with experience building reports and dashboards.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Discretion with confidential donor information and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize the donor database with data integrity and consistent coding standards.
• Manage gift processing workflows, acknowledgment letters, pledge reminders, endowment reports, and tax receipting per IRS rules.
• Coordinate MRA Board and Development Foundation meetings, events, registrations, and internal facility bookings.
• Handle Development Office administration: Teams files, calendar, attendance, schedules, and office supplies.
• Assist the VP of Development with weekly staff meetings and retreats; proof weekly Community Announcements.
• Prepare regular fundraising reports and dashboards; ensure clear reporting to Finance.
• Serve as internal project manager for cross-department campaigns and events.
