Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh is seeking a Director of Development to lead a comprehensive fundraising effort, steward a donor base, and advance the organization’s mission. This exempt, full-time role reports to the CEO and collaborates with board members and volunteers to grow donations and manage programs.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years of fundraising experience, strong writing and cultivation skills, and demonstrates ability to close gifts and oversee grants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of direct professional fundraising experience.
• CFRE or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with nonprofits having an annual budget of at least $1.5+ million.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational leadership as a member of senior management.
• Create and manage the comprehensive development program, including annual plan and metrics.
• Oversee donor engagement, solicitation, recognition, and communications.
