Job summary

Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) seeks a seasoned Fund Development Manager to lead and grow our fundraising program. This full-time, in-person role in Raleigh focuses on increasing philanthropic revenue, donor engagement, and community presence, with responsibility for annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, endowments, and strategic donor communications.

The position requires 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, strong leadership, and a strategic mindset to advance IAR’s mission

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding annual fundraising goals across channels.
• Advanced proficiency with a donor CRM and data-driven donor communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to tell the organization’s story.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual Fund Development plan to meet revenue goals.
• Lead annual giving campaigns (Ramadan, Zakat, Sadaqah, year-end) and donor stewardship.
• Cultivate mid-level and major donors; manage donor portfolio and solicit gifts.
• Oversee grant management, endowment support, and budget for the Fund Development department.
• Coordinate communications strategy and donor communications across channels.
