Job summary

Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta is seeking a Director of Foundation Business Development to drive new Donor-Advised Fund growth by identifying and converting unaffiliated donors and engaging wealth managers, attorneys, and advisors. The role requires an entrepreneurial, relationship-focused professional with at least 8 years in related fields.

The position reports to the Vice President of Foundation and collaborates across Federation and AJF teams to build a robust pipeline and convert

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, fundraising, nonprofit advancement, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to build trust quickly with high-capacity prospects and community influencers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to translate concepts into clear value propositions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with persistence in moving prospects through a disciplined process.
• High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and integrity.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple prospects and relationships.
• Strong strategic planning skills with history of achieving outreach or revenue goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead new business development for the Atlanta Jewish Foundation, focusing on Donor-Advised Funds from unaffiliated individuals.
• Develop and execute a proactive prospecting strategy targeting high-capacity individuals and professionals.
• Build, deepen, and steward strategic relationships with wealth managers, financial advisors, and other trusted advisors.
• Leverage professional networks to expand visibility and cultivate referral sources.
• Own and manage a robust new business pipeline in Salesforce, including outreach and tracking.
• Lead initial outreach, discovery, and follow-up with prospects and advisors, communicating AJF’s value.
• Create targeted cultivation opportunities and materials to move unaffiliated prospects to engagement.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Foundation teams to develop compelling outreach campaigns.
• Coordinate with Federation’s Business Development to convert opportunities into Foundation clients.
