Job summary

QTS is seeking a Director of Development (Data Center Construction) to lead high-impact client deployment projects across multiple locations. You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Property Development to ensure alignment of project goals, timelines and budgets while guiding teams of engineers, designers and contractors.

The role requires extensive travel, strong communication and leadership, and reports to the Property Development department with interactions at CHO and CRO levels

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
• Coordinate with the Property Development team and supporting consultants to support design needs, pricing, approvals, and deployment scope.
• Manage delivery of projects aligning clients' objectives, business processes, and vendor strategies across the QTS organization.
• Drive effective client relationship management and cost control to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals.
