Phillips 66 is hiring a Director of Data Architecture in Houston to lead the semantic layer and trusted data products used by traders, analysts and data scientists. You will own canonical data models, master data, and governance, partnering with Enterprise Analytics to unify market, operational and trading data.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, point-in-time accuracy, and forward-looking data contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years as principal-level data architect designing semantic layers and master/reference data.
• Advanced proficiency in data modeling, ontologies, and data-product design.

Responsibilities

• Design the commercial semantic layer and ontology across desks.
• Establish golden-source master and reference data for commodities with ownership and stewardship.
• Define data products and contracts (schema, SLA, quality, lineage).
• Ensure point-in-time and bitemporal correctness for research.
• Drive entity resolution across multi-source data.
• Set data governance standards and push validation upstream.
• Partner with enterprise data team to serve traders and data scientists.
