Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking a Sr. Data Solution Developer with Commercial/Energy trading experience to design high-performance data solutions and automated pipelines. You will work with data architects, analysts, and model developers to support forecasting, optimization, and real-time decision making.

This role emphasizes building data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming systems, ensuring data quality and governance while delivering scalable data assets for Commercial groups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack Python development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in energy trading or commodity trading.
• Advanced SQL and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD workflows, Docker and Terraform.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions; Docker; IaC with Terraform.
• Experience orchestrating pipelines with Airflow / Databricks Jobs / ADF.
• Developing REST APIs (Flask / FastAPI).
• Cloud DevOps on Azure / AWS; basic web scraping & dashboard basics.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and workflow orchestration systems.
• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to translate requirements into technical specs for end-to-end data solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure including data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming systems.
• Implement data quality validation, monitoring, and error-handling frameworks.
• Monitor analytics models and ensure governance and compliance standards.
• Support Agile planning and drive automation improvements.
