Job summary

Phillips 66 & YOU is seeking a Director of Data Architecture to design and own the commercial knowledge layer, unifying market and trading data into trusted data products. You will partner with Enterprise Analytics to build a canonical, point-in-time-correct model of inventories, curves, vessels, and assets.

You will drive governance, data contracts, and a single source of truth while enabling traders, analysts, and data scientists to leverage the knowledge layer for research and ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, CS, or related field.
• 7+ years as principal-level data architect for semantic layers or master/reference data.
• Advanced data modeling, ontologies, and data-product/data-contract design.
• Proficient in point-in-time and bitemporal data for trustworthy analytics.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Design the commercial semantic layer and ontology with canonical entities and relationships.
• Establish golden-source master/reference data with clear ownership and stewardship.
• Define data products and contracts (schema, SLA, quality, lineage).
• Incorporate point-in-time and bitemporal correctness for reproducibility.
• Drive entity resolution across multi-source data.
• Set data modeling, quality, and governance standards; validate upstream.
• Partner with enterprise data team to serve traders and data scientists.
