Job summary

Fuego Leads is seeking a Director of Data and Analytics to own the end-to-end data architecture, models, and roadmap. You will build and operate the core data layer supporting executive decisions, marketing programs, and AI systems, while mentoring a senior data engineer.

With 8+ years of data experience, you will drive modern pipelines (SQL, Python), and governance across source systems, warehouse, and transformations in a remote-friendly US setting, reporting to the COO.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data and analytics, including ownership of the design of a production warehouse and transformation layer.
• Expert SQL and production Python — pipelines, model code, and automation.
• A modern transformation framework such as dbt, with version control, testing, code review, and lineage.
• Managed a cloud data warehouse in production. BigQuery is ours; Snowflake/Redshift/Databricks translate.
• Models you've deployed and kept running, including monitoring and retraining.
• Multi-touch attribution you’ve built and customer identity resolution across systems.
• Substantive use of AI tooling in your delivery. Be ready to discuss concrete work.
• Effective written communication where an exec can read your recommendation and act

Responsibilities

• Own the data and analytics architecture end-to-end including definitions, models, and roadmaps.
• Lead the certified core layer in BigQuery covering lead lifecycle and spend reporting.
• Define target-state data architecture and the transformation roadmap.
• Oversee multi-touch attribution and identity resolution across systems.
• Develop a unified customer database and LTV-centric data layer.
• Guide ML roadmap and bring in-house model development and retraining.
• Model real-time data and ensure transcripts with LLМ scorecards are integrated.
• Measure lead-quality economics from CAC to buyer outcomes.
• Evaluate AI platforms and vendors for business needs.
