Owner is seeking a Director of Data Platform Engineering to own the platform that turns data into reliable business insights. This hands-on leadership role requires setting the architecture, building core components, and growing a team that supports analysts, product features, and ML systems.

This remote-first position can be based anywhere in the US or Canada, with an optional hybrid SF Presidio office for collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, data platform, or analytics engineering.
• 3–5 years leading and building teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data platform architecture from source to serving.
• Design order data path from legacy systems to a new source of truth.
• Implement governance, semantic layer, and SLAs for reliability.
• Provide infrastructure for restaurant ML and manage warehouse cost and performance.
